Our team brings a wealth of experience from housing, financial services and technology, including leaders who delivered the government’s Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme in England, helping almost one million people become homeowners.
We are now using our expertise to help more people take their first steps towards homeownership.
Meet our Founder and CEO
I founded Own Homes after seeing first-hand how hard it has become for people to move into homeownership.
Having delivered Help to Buy, it became clear that many people can afford to own a home, but find it hard to save for a deposit while also paying rent and everyday living costs.
That’s why I created Own Homes, to help people build a deposit and become homeowners, without having to wait to live in the home they want.

Our mission
Our mission is to help more people own their own homes. We recognise that for many people, the biggest barrier is saving for a deposit while also paying rent and everyday living costs.
Our approach is designed to remove that barrier by helping you build a deposit while living in the home you want to own.
We believe you should be able to live in a home you can call your own, a place to put down roots, feel part of a community, and have long-term security in the place you live. That belief shapes everything we do.
