Own Homes has completed a key product development milestone following a discovery visit to Vacuum Labs in Bratislava in July 2025.
Collaborating with product and engineering specialists at Vacuum Labs, Own Homes mapped out and designed two of its core digital systems central to its homeownership model: the housebuilder portal and the homebuyer app.
The discovery sessions focused on defining user journeys, operational workflows and data requirements needed to support both partner housebuilders and future homeowners. The outcome is a set of fully scoped prototypes for each system.
These prototypes serve as working models that can now be tested with users and refined before development. The systems are in a “ready to build” state, positioning Own Homes to enter full technical development ahead of its planned 2026 launch.
Chris Lee, Founder and CEO of Own Group, explained that the discovery phase marked a significant step forward, saying:
“This work moves us from concept to tangible systems. By collaborating with experienced fintech and product specialists, we’ve translated our homeownership model into clear digital journeys for both housebuilders and homebuyers. The prototypes give us something real to test, improve and prepare for launch.”
The housebuilder portal is designed to provide partner housebuilders with visibility over customer onboarding, progress tracking and operational management.
The homebuyer app will allow future homeowners to track their savings progress, understand their pathway to ownership and manage key milestones along the homebuying journey.
Vacuum Labs, known for building scalable fintech platforms globally, supported Own Homes in structuring both systems to ensure they are secure, user-focused and ready for future growth.
Completing the discovery phase ensures that Own Homes’ technology infrastructure aligns with its launch roadmap. With working prototypes in place, the business is now positioned to test functionality with partners and users before moving into live system development.
The homeownership model called #RentSaveOwn is due to launch in 2026, providing a structured pathway for aspiring homeowners to move from renting to owning through a digitally supported savings journey.
